Increase Credit Card Authorization

If charges added to a reservation exceed the credit card authorization on file, users will be prompted with a pop-up screen to choose whether to increase the credit card authorization immediately or later during the night audit. It is not mandatory, and properties can control how authorizations should be handled.

Navigate to Settings ➜ Accounting ➜ Guest Accounting ➜ Credit Cards.

Refer to the below table and select an appropriate option under Incidental Authorization Frequency:

Field	Description
Night Audit Only	To increase authorization on file only during the night audit process.
Auto As Needed	To increase authorization on file as and when needed without any manual intervention.
Manual	Manual - Every time, the user will be prompted to increase authorization right away or wait till the night audit.

By default, the option is set to Manual.
